The Layers Collection
It's about process. Letting the materials guide me and the layers speak for themselves.
This collection is inspired by my journey as an artist and teacher in South Korea. As an explorer of materials, I challenged myself to follow the brush, follow the colors, and follow the process. I found inspiration in the transience of layers, both physical and metaphorical. In contrasting organic shapes, color relationships, and the texture of materials, my actions developed the expression of the work. As the paintings took shape, a part of myself was left behind - becoming a part of the narrative.
